Our Story

Growth Mindset ABA LLC was founded in 2025 with a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive. After years of experience in ABA therapy and childcare, we saw the profound impact that compassionate, individualized care can have on families. Our journey began with a passion for helping children embrace challenges and build confidence through evidence-based practices. Today, we are committed to creating a supportive community where progress is celebrated and potential is limitless.

At Growth Mindset ABA, we believe therapy should feel supportive, respectful, and meaningful — for both children and families. Our model prioritizes growth, autonomy, and real-world skill development.

Growth-Focused, Not Compliance-Focused We prioritize meaningful skill acquisition over rigid compliance. Our goal is to help children build independence, communication, emotional regulation, and confidence — not simply follow instructions.

Parent-Collaborative Parents are active partners in the therapy process. We work alongside families to align goals, provide ongoing guidance, and ensure strategies feel realistic and sustainable within daily life.

Natural Environment-Based Services are delivered in the environments that matter most — home and community. This allows skills to generalize naturally and supports functional, real-life application.

Neurodiversity-Affirming We respect and honor each child’s unique way of experiencing the world. Therapy is individualized, strengths-based, and designed to support autonomy while building essential life skills.

Teaching Over Controlling We focus on understanding behavior, building replacement skills, and fostering connection before correction. Learning happens best when children feel safe and supported.

Mission statement

Our mission is to provide individualized, relationship‑based ABA that helps children thrive at home, in school, and throughout their community — with families as active partners every step of the way.

Meet the Founder and CEO:
Susaine Hardy, M.S. , B.C.B.A

Susaine has spent more than a decade dedicated to helping children grow, learn, and thrive. Her journey began at just 15 years old, when she worked with youth through the YMCA. Even then, she knew her purpose was rooted in supporting children and creating safe, encouraging spaces for them to succeed.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Public Health, and Cognitive Science from UC Merced in 2020, she devoted a full year to AmeriCorps, serving foster youth and underserved communities. This experience deepened her commitment to equity, compassion, and family‑centered care — values that continue to guide her work today. In 2020, she discovered her passion for Applied Behavior Analysis and began her first role in the field. She quickly fell in love with the science of learning and the meaningful impact ABA can have on a child’s confidence, communication, and independence.

Driven by her dedication to helping others, she earned her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University in 2022. Since then, she has continued to serve children and families with warmth, expertise, and an unwavering belief in every child’s potential.

As both a clinician and a mother, Susaine understands the real‑life challenges families face. She brings empathy, patience, and lived experience to every interaction — ensuring that parents feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their child’s journey.

Today, as the CEO and founder of Growth Mindset ABA, she leads with heart. Her mission is simple: to provide compassionate, individualized ABA services that honor each child’s strengths and help families feel truly cared for.

Susaine has experience supporting children with autism as well as children with a wide range of developmental profiles, always approaching each child with respect, patience, and a deep belief in their potential. She excels at keeping the parent engaged, so that your input and feedback is implemented into the development program.

RUN FOR AUSITM SAN DIEGO 2026

Why Events Like This Matter
This year, our team had the opportunity to participate in the Run for Autism San Diego 2026, an event dedicated to raising awareness, celebrating neurodiversity, and supporting individuals and families within the autism community. Being present for this day meant more than completing a race—it meant standing alongside families, advocates, and organizations united by a shared purpose.
At Growth Mindset ABA, we believe progress is built through connection, understanding, and community. Events like this remind us that meaningful impact happens not only in therapy sessions, but also when communities come together to support one another.

More Than a Finish Line
Crossing the finish line was a powerful moment—not because of speed or distance, but because of what it represented. Each step forward symbolized perseverance, growth, and the importance of visibility for individuals on the autism spectrum. It was a reminder that every journey looks different, and every achievement deserves recognition.
Moments like these reinforce why we do what we do: to support children and families through compassionate, individualized care that honors each person’s unique strengths.

Every step forward matterson the track and in everyday life. Our Commitment Moving Forward
We are incredibly grateful to the event organizers, volunteers, families, and fellow participants who made the Run for Autism San Diego 2026 such a meaningful experience. The sense of community and shared support was inspiring, and we are proud to have been part of it.
As we move forward, our commitment remains the same—to support growth, confidence, and meaningful progress for the children and families we serve, both within our programs and throughout the community.
